Guidelines for the waterbird habitat analysis methodology

TA statistical approach has been proposed to study the environmental determinants of bird habitat use in an estuary by combining bird count data to the characterization of environmental conditions through multivariate analysis (community distribution models) and species-habitat regression models.

The present tool aims at providing general guidelines on this methodological approach by guiding the reader through the main steps of the process and using the methods applied to one of the case studies, namely the study of wader assemblages in the Humber Estuary, as an example for the detailed methods.
