Degree of synergistic effects and conflicts according to uses
The material excavated from the shallow water zone is supposed to be used or was used already for main dike and bank reinforcement purposes. Thus, synergistic effects in view of coastal defense and flood protection can be stated. Additionally, an 850 m shore section north of the ferry terminal Kleinensiel is fully usable as beach again after parts of the excavated material were spread.
