The “Underwater relocation area Medemrinne-Ost” is a measure to mitigate the unfavorable effects of the fairway deepening in the river mouth, secondly 10.2 mill. m³ dredged material can be stored there.Possible conflicts during the construction period (disturbance of breeding birds and fish) will be avoided by applying a proper construction time regulation scheme.
